5days Gorilla Safari And Chimpanzee trekking

Brief Itinerary:

Day 1: Pick up from hotel address in Kampala/Entebbe - drive to Bwindi (home of gorillas)
Day 2: Morning Gorilla Trekking and Afternoon evening community walk.
Day 3: Transfer from Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth national park

Day 4: Morning Game viewing and Afternoon Boat cruise on Kazinga Channel.
Day 5: Drive back to - Kampala/Entebbe airport.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Pick up from a hotel in Kampala OR hotel address in Entebbe near the airport, And drive to Bwindi. Meet and greet our company represetative at the hotel address after having your breakfast and head to the biologically diverse and unique magnificent green impenetrable rainforest in southwestern Uganda, which sustains almost half of the world’s mountain gorilla population. You will have a stopover in Kayabwe for photographs at the Uganda equator and souvenir shopping accompanied with an enroute lunch in Mbarara town. Proceed to bwindi, the home of gorillas in Uganda. Have dinner and an overnight stay at the booked lodge, Category: (Silverback lodge - Luxury option), (Gorilla Mist camp - Midrange option), (Buhoma Rest Camp - Budget option).

 

Day 2: Gorilla tracking in bwindi- Life-time memorable experience. After morning breakfast, you will get ready, along with your packed lunches to embark on the lifetime memorable experience in this magnificent forest for gorilla tracking. The trail you use may reward you with exciting moments of the giant mountain gorillas in uganda, this will be a reward of the ultimate gorilla experience' as well as other primates that inhabit the forest. This may take you about 4-5 hrs in the jungle.

Later in the afternoon, take a community guided walk to meet the locals. You will return to the lodge for dinner and peaceful overnight at the lodge.

 

 

Day 3: Transfer from Bwindi drive to Queen elizabth national park.

Drive past Ishasha Sector, commonly known for Tree climbing lions.

Queen Elizabeth National park presently boosts the highest biodiversity rating of any game park in Uganda with its dense swamps, beautiful crater lakes, open savannah and rain forest, the park is gifted with almost 100 species of mammals. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge for dinner at lodge.

Day 4: Morning Chimpanzee trekking and Afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel. At the park, You will head to the park head quarters for a briefing session regarding chimpanzee tracking code of conduct. Thereafter, you will be guided to the forest and experience tracking of the chimps and other primates in their natural habitant (this is the primate capital of the world).

The park’s site guide will take you through this adventurous experience where you may be blessed with enormous encounters of various forest primates like the L’hoest, black faced colobus monkeys, baboons and other forest species. The chief highlight of this day will be the chimps. You will enjoy them as they play, sing, communicate and eat. 1 hour is usually allowed with the Chimps.

Later after lunch, you will embark on a boat cruise on Kaziga channel. This is very rewarding with the aquatic animals like crocodiles, hippos and many bird species like black bee carmine bee eaters and black bee eaters, Lesser Swamp-Warbler, Striated Heron among others. You will return to the lodge for dinner and peaceful overnight..

 

 

Day 5: After a healthy breakfast, prepare return back to Kampala. Along the journey, you will enjoy warm lunch break. Proceed to Kampala / Entebbe airport. drop off back to your hotel address. OR Connect with your International home flight at Entebbe International airport.
